Parents please click the LINK HERE to complete the online registration for for your student to participate in CHEER Squad.

What is Cheer Squad?

The Rock Lake Cheer Squad is dedicated to promoting Raider spirit and building relationships that enhance school culture. Some events include, but are not limited to, cheering, and performing half-time routines during home sporting events and demonstrations during assemblies. Members are expected to be at every event. If a member is unable to attend a scheduled event, parents should send written notice a minimum of 48 hours prior to performance (apart from illness or emergency.)

Cheer Tryouts will be held on December 12th from 4pm-6:30pm. Official basketball cheer practice begins on January 12th. Practices are held Mondays and Wednesdays after school in the gym.

Parents must provide transportation home. Monday practices end at 6pm and Wednesday’s practices end at 5:00 pm. Cheerleaders are not allowed to walk home and will never be left unattended. If parents are more than 10 minutes late for pick up without prior communication with Coach Butala, students may be dismissed from the squad.

There are 5 basketball games in the spring. Games are held on Wednesday evenings. Squad members stay after school, do homework, eat a snack, practice, and then cheer. Basketball games normally end around 7:30.

There will be a $60.00 registration fee. This money helps with uniform and club supplies. Fees must be paid by January 12th, 2026.
