After School Athletics

Athletics at the ROCK includes the following:

• August - October: Volleyball (Contact Coach Singer or Coach Melendez)  $60 sports fee
• October - December: Cross Country (Contact Coach Singer) $60 sports fee
• January - February: Track and Field (Contact TBD) $60 sports fee
• March - May: Basketball (Contact Coach Winn) $60 sports fee

*Tryouts are required for Volleyball and Basketball

Registration for Cross Country is now open!  There are NO tryouts.  

Practice starts on Monday, October 20. 

• We practice every Monday from 4:10 to 5 PM, Wednesday from 3:10 to 4 PM, and Thursday from 4:10 to 5 PM.  PRACTICES ARE MANDATORY.

Cross Country Meets are scheduled for November 3, 12, 19, December 3, and the District Meet is December 6.  MEETS ARE MANDATORY.

Please pick up the physical and registration forms from the front office.  Physicals MUST be completed November 1, 2025 and they must be on the District Sports Physical Form.

Forms:

A physical, a notarized copy of SCPS form 985a, an emergency card and a sports waiver will be required if a student is on the team. It is due before the first meet or game.

Grades:

Grades must be at least a 2.0 GPA from the previous 9 weeks of the season that must be maintained during the season. Incoming 6th grade students will start with a clean slate.

Citizenship: 

Students must adhere to the Citizenship Standards Policy for participation in school sponsored extra-curricular activities as outlined in the Student Code of Conduct. The coach has the discretion to dismiss an athlete from the team upon administrative approval for any violation of the citizenship standards. The cost for admission to all middle school events is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students.
